Virgil Ballard spent the first 38 years of his life working as a cowboy. He attended high school in Winnemucca, Nevada.
In 1942, he had a beautiful relationship with Ruth Johnstun. However, several factors lead them to go separate ways. But many decades later, they both found their way back to each other.
Now, Virgil is a realtor and in business with one of his sons. He is living contentedly with the love of his life and the children he cherished the most.
Their love story has inspired Virgil to write The Unseen Hand.
